2024 BCORMA PLATINUM & BASIC (BRONZE) PASS LIABILITY INSURANCE PROGRAM


Underwriting Requirements

The following rules effective January 1, 2024, apply to all applications submitted in connection with the BCORMA Platinum & Basic (Bronze) Trail Supporter Liability Insurance Program in British Columbia offered by Oasis Outdoor Adventure & Sport Insurance Solutions Inc. and the British Columbia Off Road Motorcycle Association (BCORMA).

  1. Policy Terms: All BCORMA trail supporter policies have a common expiry date of December 31, 2024.

  2. Classes of Business: All Motorized, two (2) wheeled off road vehicles are eligible, or, if licensed as dual sport bike, eligible only when used off road.

  3. Territory: Only residents of the province of British Columbia with a valid driver’s license are eligible for coverage under the program.

    1. Restricted Coverage Form Available – Driver’s Policy Only: Third Party Liability coverage is available with $2,000,000 limits as part of the Platinum pass and $500,000 as part of the Basic (Bronze) pass. The trail supporter policy is a driver’s Policy allowing the policyholder only to have third party liability coverage when driving any eligible vehicle. If Coverage is required for the applicant’s family that resides at the same household, then an additional premium of 80% of the principle charge will apply per additional driver. Additional drivers must also meet eligibility requirements. For Rates please refer to the rate sheet or website.

    2. Optional Basic Personal Accident $25,000

  4. Minimum Premium – Premium is fully earned at inception.

  5. Referrals for Special Acceptance: This coverage is only available to platinum trail supporter holders who qualify. This coverage does NOT extend to cover family members of the applicant, residents of the applicant’s household or any individual other than the applicant. The following are ineligible to participate in this program:

    • Any applicant with a Motor Vehicle related Criminal Code offence on their driving record within the past 3 (three) years;

    • Any applicant with more than 6 (six) demerit points on their driving record;

    • Any applicant with more than 2 (two) moving Motor Vehicle Act offences on their driving record within the past 3 (three) years.

  6. Discounts & Surcharges: Drivers are eligible for a 15% discount on the Third Party Lability if all Units have the ICBC Road Crossing TPL in force. A 10% Discount is available if the driver is 50 years of age or older. A 35% surcharge applies on all coverages if the driver also owns a Sno Bike. A 10% surcharge applies if the driver is under 25.
